The 2025 Catherine Helen Spence Oration was presented by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, speaking on: “Catherine Helen Spence: Then and Now”
An appreciative audience of 150 people gathered on 20 November 2025 at Pridham Hall, University of SA. Her Excellency spoke about the progress that has been made in South Australia in the areas of women’s rights, the protection of children, education and democratic representation for all, as well as touching on where that work is still underway today.
